ROH wheels for Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series
Compare ROH wheel designs and documented fitment examples for the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series. Check the specification, then see the look on your own vehicle in Nordak.

ROH Assault and Vapour are two straightforward wheels to compare for a 79 Series. Start with the 5x150 versions and the specific offsets below. A wheel advertised for a LandCruiser 200 or 300 Series is not enough information to order for your ute.
This guide covers Australian 79 Series, within ROH's 2001-onwards 5x150 application. Changed axles, portal conversions and other LandCruiser series need a separate assessment.
Which ROH designs should you compare?
ROH Assault: Our first visual comparison for a 79 with a tray, canopy and bull bar. Its fuller face suits the substantial build we would aim for, with black or bronze chosen around the rest of the ute. Check the Assault application.
ROH Vapour: Compare its twin-spoke face and machined accents if you want detail without changing to a bright wheel finish. ROH lists both a 16x8 zero-offset example and the 17x9 -12 example below. Check the Vapour application.
These are Nordak styling preferences. The specification still has to suit your 79 Series.
Fitment examples for the 79 Series
The following rows are marked 'Recommended' in ROH's selected vehicle tables, checked on 9 October 2026. Follow each wheel link for the exact application and finish availability.
| Wheel | Size | Stud pattern | Offset | Load per wheel | ROH label |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Assault | 17x9 | 5x150 | -12 mm | 1500 kg | Recommended |
| Vapour | 17x9 | 5x150 | -12 mm | 1500 kg | Recommended |
| Vapour | 16x8 | 5x150 | 0 mm | 1500 kg | Recommended |
ROH also labels the 17x9 -59 Assault 'True Track', separately from the -12 row marked 'Recommended'. Do not treat -59 as an interchangeable choice for all four corners. Ask the supplier to specify the intended axle positions, clearances and spare-wheel arrangement for your exact build.
ROH's labels are manufacturer guidance for the selected application. They do not approve every tyre, modified suspension setup or registration requirement.
Decide on the axle setup before chasing stance
The first buying decision is the complete wheel and tyre setup, including any axle changes already fitted. Then compare the 16-inch Vapour with the 17-inch designs. If the outside tyre diameter stays the same, the smaller wheel leaves more sidewall. A high wheel load rating alone does not establish that your loaded touring ute or GVM conversion is approved.
Before you order
Have your supplier confirm the part number and finish, hub attachment, wheel hardware, brake clearance and tyre-to-rim suitability. Check clearance through steering and suspension movement, plus the load requirements for your vehicle and any certified modifications.
VSB 14 Section LS covers wheel attachment and clearance. Check the rules where your 79 Series is registered; the national code does not replace local requirements.

Upload a photo that shows the tray or canopy as well as the cab. Compare Assault and Vapour on your own 79 before choosing the finish. The image helps with appearance; it cannot validate an axle or track correction.
